A Bit about ME... Janna graduated from Fanshawe College, where she earned a diploma in Industrial Design in 1995. Working as a designer at a sign shop for a year...she knew the big city was calling. Making the leap to Toronto in 1997, she got a Mac, and started creating from dusk to dawn. Working freelance for a few years in Graphic Design, and building a portfolio....something else was on her mind.... She was curious to explore the world of Visual Merchanding. She worked for the Gap for 6+ years, implementing every Gap campaign and slogan known to mankind. Looking to make a move from her comfortable life at the Gap, she had found a love for the gym, and spent days boxing, spinning and running half marathons. She was offered the position of Studio Coordinator at Level Five Fitness. It was a mixture of creating a cool atmosphere that people loved to work out in, and creating urban designs to compliment the fitness world that she came to know so well. An interesting phone call came from ACE Bakery one day....they were looking for a Merchandiser / Account Manager....hummm...this seemed like an interesting opportunity....so she took it. What an awesome job that was....but there was still something missing, that creative fire burning deep inside needed to find a home. Always thinking about web design, she took the plunge...quit her job and enrolled in Web Design at Humber College. She finished in Sept 2008, and has hit the ground running with great success working Freelance. At one of Janna's art showing her art was described as: "A mixed fusion of thought provoking art, with a yummy pallet of colour and images that leave you curiously wondering". She is never short on coming up with a witty logo, slogan or endless design doodles on scraps of paper. She has a passion for design, and a great sense of style. |
